While I'm definitely a hardcore Purdue fan, some credit for this post is going to our enemy to the south.
IU's business research center did a study that was posted just days ago (November 29) in the Chicago Tribune. In this study, they interviewed men and women to determine which gender had the more college degrees.
Women won, of course.
25.7% of females interviewed in the 35-to-44 age group had a bachelors degree or higher. Only 22.8% of males had the same degree or higher.
In the 25-to-34 age group, 28.1% of women had the degree. In the same age group, only 23.4% of men had their degree.
What does this say?
While it does not say that women are necessarily smarter, it says that women try harder. Women are more willing to push themselves to further their education rather than just sit back and live with what they have. They want to gain the education and degree needed to get good, well-paying jobs.
Also, it probably has to do with women striving to gain respect. After years of not having the rights to do pretty much anything, women are trying to fix it. We're getting our respect when and where we want it. And getting a degree helps us to do that.

At least his name is fitting...
I cannot stand this man. I'm so glad that men are not all like him. He makes me sick.

Penny for your thoughts...
Women are more financially capable than men.
I stumbled across an article written by Janet Bodnar, Deputy Editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance. It is a piece about how women and men handle money.
If you read the first page, it actually makes it seem as if women are much less capable. It says that women have far less confidence in their abilities to invest in stocks. It also says that polls of women have very high numbers of not understanding financial things (like mutual funds).
However, on the first page, it also says how women are the ones in the household who will most likely pay the bills, balance the checkbook, and maintain the family budget. And, when dealing with investments, women are actually better. They may not have a lot of confidence in their investments, but their turn-out is usually better. Women are more likely than men to research their investment ahead of time. They will look at the trends of the stock and make an informed decision on whether or not to invest. While it may take them a while to commit to it, they will be very informed.
Also, men invest more often. While that makes it sound like men invest more because they are better at it, it is actually just because they are overconfident in their abilities. They jump into the investments, and the turn-out probably won't be as great as they expect. Also, a man's overconfidence in his abilities makes him make many mistakes with his investments. Women, since they research and think it through first, will not make as many mistakes.

You're only as old as you feel...
I was searching around the internet and found the following quote:
"It is after you have lost your teeth that you can afford to buy steaks."
What does this mean to me? Well, really, it's just a quote about getting old. How does it relate to what I wish to discuss? Well...it really doesn't. It relates in only a small way because I'm going to talk about the differences in getting older...
Well, one difference.
When a man gets older, he looks for younger women. The older he is, the more he probably craves the youth of a pretty woman. However, as he gets older, the younger women desire him less. And less. And less.
With women, however, as they get older, younger men want them. Have you ever heard of a "cougar?" A cougar is a middle-aged woman...around 35+...who prefers to hunt, rather than be hunted. For some reason, younger men find this incredibly appealing. Ever heard the song "Stacey's Mom"? Well, this is exactly what that is referring to.
Older women are more experienced, which drives younger men crazy. I'm not trying to say that every young man wants an older woman, but some do.
Women are wanted at any age. Different ages of men want different ages of women. A young man will go after an older woman. A young man will go after a young woman. An older man will go after an older woman. An older man will go after a younger woman.
Women...well...unless the girl is a gold digger, she will most likely not go for an older man.
Sorry, guys.

You've heard it from the kingdom...
United Kingdom, that is.
According to an article on a news site from the United Kingdom, women are better at cooperating than men. In a study, women cooperated twice as often as men. This leads to better payoffs. When competing, it is better to all go together to reach the common good rather than all going against the others for he same ending. More is accomplished and people get along better.
The article also discusses how women are more likely to abandon strategies that have previously failed. That means that if they try something once, and it doesn't work, they probably won't try it again. Women know how to not waste time. If something always works, they will probably always try it. It makes things more efficient.
Pretty much, women are more efficient when it comes to solving problems. They cooperate and finish faster. They don't retry the same failed attempt over and over.
And, very importantly, it's obvious that these studies were done in the U.K. That means that not only are women in the United States better, but they are better all over the world.

Understanding...
Alright, everybody, time for another sharing experience.
I came across this site while writing my online community analysis. It is written by a clinical, medical and family psychologist named Michael Connor. He is aware of the battle for equality. However, does not focus on that at all. He focuses on the differences. He does not state if one is better than the other.
While this does not necessarily back up my viewpoint of the superior sex at all, it does back up all my points of why I think women are superior.
Just follow this link to read for yourself.

Put your hands up...
Be careful, boys...you might end up in jail someday.
According to sociologists, young men are more likely to become criminals. It's not anything against them...it's just fact. And there are a few reasons for it...
Men have higher testosterone levels than women. Duh, right? Well testosterone causes increased levels of aggression. That means men are more likely to be in physical fights and use weapons against others. ...FYI, that's what lands you in jail.
Men also have a tendency to steal more than women. Not necessarily more often, but more in quantity. Women tend to steal just what they need to get alone. Men steal as much as they can. It's kind of a show-off thing.
Men are very competitive creatures. That goes along with the show-off thing. Fights escalate when neither guy wants to back down. That is when men sometimes become violent.
I am in no way saying that all men are going to become criminals someday, but men are just more likely than women to commit a crime.
